Sketchbooks Unlocked

Run by The Arts Quarter in Cheddar, Sketchbooks Unlocked invited members of the community to unlock their creative potential and create journals, sketchbooks, memoirs, creative projects, story boards, comics, collections, studies…anything they liked!

Stepping Out: Loneliness project

In Spring 2021, Grant in Aid via Arts Council England funded a series of projects to combat loneliness and social isolation through Creative People and Places projects up and down the country.

The Nornen Project

The Nornen Project is bringing the story to life with a series of events and the creation of a brand-new theatrical production, all to celebrate the 125th anniversary of this local landmark in 2022.

Zoom Clubs

Over a 10-week period, local artists facilitated 15 different weekly Zoom Clubs, offering a wide variety of activities to the community.

Together with Create You in Highbridge, we have produced another lantern kit, this time using the paper bags the kits are packed in to reduce packaging and waste.

Artist Mell Turford is collecting and sharing the stories and history of Highbridge – Giving voice to members of the Highbridge community.

All the Colours

Members of the community submit photos based around one colour which were used to create artworks for local bus services.
