New Project coming to Cheddar

Imagine a field of clay figures, each unique, each showing off the creativity and individuality of people living and working in Cheddar.

Seed has commissioned Artist Bridget Hemmings to lead an exciting new community art project in Cheddar. The ‘Cheddar Individuality project’. Through a series of workshops and pop up making sessions 1000 small clay figures will be made by the many hands of Cheddar’s residents – people from all walks of life. The figures will be brought together in a community exhibition planned for June 2023.

What would your individual look like?

The project was proposed in the recent commissioning round for Cheddar, Axbridge and the Polden Hills. Bridget and her team are planning the making workshops which will happen in the new year. If you are a member of a  community group in Cheddar that would like to be involved do get in touch!
