On Saturday 4 June members of the community joined together for two events to celebrate the Platinum Jubilee. The events took place at the Morland Hub in Highbridge where a wide range of activities took place. Live street art and children’s workshops, music all day, photography workshop activity, Punch and Judy, a Children’s entertainer and magician, face painting, a cake baking competition and Candy floss & Popcorn. There was also a children’s sit down tea party where each child was given a especially commissioned Jubilee commemorative mug created by a local ceramicist.
The day didn’t end there though…
From 5pm onwards there was a Right Royal Rave Up taking over the evening of local live music for the community to dance the night away. The evening music covered all the decades from the 50s onwards, providing something for everyone. The audience stayed and enjoy the local talent, soaked up the atmosphere and ended the day with this musical extravaganza!
