Sounds of Sedgemoor Album Launch & Seed Celebration Event

Join us for the official launch of Sounds of Sedgemoor, a vibrant new album celebrating the music, stories and spirit of our community. Enjoy live performances, meet the artists behind the tracks, and be among the first to experience the album in full. Expect an afternoon filled with local talent, some taking the stage for the very first time, alongside great company and unforgettable sound. Everyone is welcome!

The afternoon is also a special event honouring six inspiring years of Seed. Years filled with creativity, community and culture woven together across Sedgemoor. The celebration will bring together everyone who has played a part in the journey including artists, partners, volunteers and all who took part in workshops, performances, festivals and shared moments of creativity.

Join us as we celebrate the power of creativity, the strength of community and the many individuals who have helped Seed grow. This event is a thank you to everyone who has been part of the journey.

The Sounds of Sedgemoor story

Going back to the beginning of the Seed project we heard from several community members at consultation events like ‘Create The Future’ that they were looking for music groups to encourage learning or in some cases re-learning their instruments.

Many of the music groups that were formed around the early days were a result of coming out of covid lockdowns and the social isolation that people were feeling at the time.

Over the years several unique and individual groups were formed across the Sedgemoor area, getting together to practice, play small live gigs and begin writing new material.

The Sounds of Sedgemoor project was a chance for Seed to work with Action Track to give the groups an opportunity to professionally record their songs together, creating a collaborative work that reflects not only themselves as groups but the wider sedgemoor area.
