Highbridge Youth Arts are providing an accessible and affordable opportunity for local young people of Highbridge to take part in and perform dance and drama. The group offers participants the chance to direct and shape creative pieces with their ideas and experiences of the Covid-19 lockdowns. Before Christmas Highbridge Youth Arts presented to parents and visitors several interpretations of a one scene piece “maybe tomorrow” The students also improvised a drama based on well known Christmas films including Elf and the Grinch.
This term Highbridge Youth Arts are creating a piece based around some of the songs from and plot of Bugsy Malone, with the students taking the creative lead. The aim is to perform the piece for an audience of family and friends at the community hall after Easter.
