Glow Lanterns

Following on from the success of GlowHome in 2020, Seed once again teamed up with Create You in Highbridge to bring you another creative lantern making activity! More than 400 packs were distributed throughout Highbridge and Burnham-on-Sea during November 2021. Create You ran drop in workshops leading up to the Christmas lights switch on events in both towns in December 2021.

Switch on events happened in both Highbridge and Burnham-on-Sea. More than 40 people attended the event in Highbridge where the local school choir performed carols with Rev’d Martin Little from St John’s. The lights were switched on by the Mayor before everyone headed to the Community Hall for hot drinks. Burnham-on-Sea combined their lights switch on with a full day of events and stalls. The day culminated in the lantern parade before the lights switch on, again switched on by the Mayor. Both events were a great way to start the festive season.
