Come Together was a celebration to mark our ability to gather together again after 18 months of lockdowns and other social restrictions.
Residents and visitors alike were invited to join in an afternoon of great songs and festival vibes. The band Tongues of Fire led a short procession from the car park at Apex Park. Once in Apex Park, the band performed many well-known classics including the popular Beatles tunes Come Together and Just a Little Help From my Friends, as well as Lean on Me, Lovely Day, Happy, Bring Me Sunshine and What a Wonderful World.
It was a great day and a wonderful opportunity for Highbridge and Burnham to join together, listen to some great music, have a picnic, sing and even dance together once again.
Seed once again teamed up with Create You in Highbridge to put together festival headband kits. Participants could make their headbands ahead of the day and bring them along on the day where a competition was justed by members of Burnham-on-Sea and Highbridge Town Council who selected their favourite headbands to win a voucher from Create You. This event was made possible with funding for Arts Council England, The National Lottery and Burnham-on-Sea and Highbridge Town Council.
