The basis of Fiona’s project was a lenticular printed chameleon.
Lenticular prints are holographic, making images almost cinematic. It’s a technology in which lenticular lenses are used to produce printed images with the ability to change or move as the image is viewed from different angles.
As the bus moves, or viewers move past the image, the chameleon changes colour, depending on viewpoint.
Members of the community were encouraged to submit photos based around one colour. Alongside that through a series of workshops, Fiona helped members of the community create beautiful collages. These photos collages were then compiled by Fiona to create three different coloured chameleons.
The chameleons were combined into the lenticular prints and displayed on the side of the buses. Check out some of the participant collages and submissions below.
