Artist Commission Callout: Bring Creativity to Cannington

Seed and Cannington in Bloom are inviting artists, performers, and creative organisations to be part of the first-ever Cannington Village Festival, running 18–26 July 2025.

We’re commissioning participatory and performance-based creative activities that will inspire, connect, and engage the Cannington community. If you’re passionate about making art accessible and bringing people together, we want to hear from you.

Why Get Involved?

  • Be part of a community-led celebration of arts, nature and local identity

  • Contribute to a festival that promotes wellbeing, inclusion, and creativity

  • Receive commission fees (from a £7,500 project pot) towards your activity

  • marketing, design, and delivery support from Seed

What We’re Looking For:

  • Activities that take place in Cannington between 18–26 July

  • Projects that are community-focused, high-quality and environmentally mindful

  • Self-managed, well-planned activities with appropriate insurance and DBS checks

  • Artists with proven experience or well-developed new ideas

How to Apply:

Send us a 2-page Expression of Interest by 2pm, Wednesday 25 June 2025. Include:

  • Your proposed activity (plus links, images, or examples)

  • A budget breakdown

  • Artist/team CVs
