Zoom Clubs

We are excited to be launching another new project next week! As part of our loneliness project Stepping Out, we are running 15 weekly Zoom Clubs ranging from Creative Writing to an online choir particularly targeting people who are feeling lonely or socially isolated due to lockdown.

These clubs will be a safe, welcoming space for you to get creative with our fantastic group of facilitators. There is no need to be creative to get involved. It will be a chance for you to meet new people, try a new skill or simply do something different for an hour and a half!

Starting from Monday 22 March, these clubs will run for 10 weeks via Zoom. Find the full timetable below and some more information about each of the clubs.

Each week we pack our baggage (or rather leave it behind) and propel ourselves into the unknown. Using various ‘props’ (youtube clips and trip advisor and other travel brochure information), we find ourselves in entirely new surroundings. Sampling the local cuisine, a daily excursion, conversations with locals drawing on smatterings of the local lingo and the obligatory souvenirs will all form part of the experiences we substantiate in our imaginations and turn into writing – a travel journal, postcards, the occasional poem, letters of thanks and – where necessary, complaint.
