A new Augmented Reality Project in Bridgwater, Somerset.
Seed Sedgemoor (a creative people and places project in Somerset, UK) and Severnside Community Rail Partnership invite artist(s) and/or suitable organisations to submit proposals for a public art commission using augmented reality. Proposals are welcome from both individuals and collaborative artistic teams.
The project seeks to commission artists to create new and ambitious site-specific work that has a connection to the place and/or its people and provides opportunities for co-creation and interaction. Proposed works should enable station users and visitors to engage with a stimulating, engaging, safe and enjoyable experience, and be accessible and engaging for those who do not usually participate in the arts or have prior experience of augmented reality. £12,500 is available for an initial development and creation phase, with up to a further £17,500 available for implementation and exhibition.
Proposals should be submitted via email including all required documents as attachments or downloadable links via info@seedsedgemoor.com with the subject line: Hidden Station Proposal prior to 5pm on Monday 9 January 2023
For further information or to schedule an informal chat about this opportunity please contact Scott O’Hara, CEO Seed Sedgemoor.
The Hidden Station is a collaboration between Seed Sedgemoor and Severnside Community Rail Partnership, kindly supported by Community Rail Network and the Department for Transport’s Community Rail Development Fund.
